It’s a big, confident sound; bright around the edges while darker at the core, but always propulsive and cathartic.

Sonic45 is a Chicago-based quintet founded by bass player and songwriter Len Kasper, whose melodic and muscular songs are unapologetic in their new wave influences. The band features a lineup of local luminaries bringing Kasper’s widescreen musical visions to life: Dag Juhlin (guitar), Gerald Dowd (drums), Liam Davis (guitar/producer), and Matt Spiegel (vocals). Their respective musical/media pedigrees are noteworthy, as they incorporate high profile radio/TV/sports/podcasting/production “day jobs”, not to mention too many other bands to count.

This is a limited edition pressing on beautiful 180g violet vinyl. Comes with download card, which includes five bonus exclusive demo versions, with one of the songs not making the final album.
